Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs stew beef (trimmed & cubed)
- 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
- 1 cup frozen green peas
- 1 1/2 cups russet potatoes (roughly chopped)
- 1 packet onion soup seasoning mix
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/3 cup cold water
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients and place them into the slow cooker, except for cornstarch and water. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for about 4 hours until the beef is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth. Add to the stew and stir well.
- Cook for an additional 15 minutes covered until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving warm with crusty bread.
