Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Cabbage
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the cabbage into ½-inch rounds and arrange them on the baking sheet.
Step 2: Season & Roast
Drizzle cabbage rounds with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and slightly crispy.
Step 3: Make the Burger Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs (if using), onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal-sized patties.
Step 4: Bake the Burgers
Place the patties on another parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
Step 5: Assemble & Melt the Cheese
Place each cooked burger patty onto a roasted cabbage round. Top with cheese and return to the oven for 2–3 minutes, just until the cheese melts.
Step 6: Add Toppings & Serve
Top with lettuce, tomato, and burger sauce. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Don’t Skip the Oil – Helps the cabbage crisp up while roasting.
