Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (or any ground meat like chicken or turkey)
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 ribs of celery, sliced
- 2 medium russet potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 head of green cabbage, chopped
- 2 tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 heaping tbsp beef bouillon + 4 cups water (or chicken broth)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
- Add diced green pepper, onion, carrots, and celery. Season with garlic and herb seasoning and Cajun seasoning; sauté until vegetables are soft.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for about two minutes.
- Add chopped potatoes and stir well to combine.
- Pour in canned tomatoes and minced garlic; mix thoroughly.
- Incorporate the chopped cabbage into the pot.
- Add the beef bouillon and water (or broth), then bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for about 30 minutes until potatoes and cabbage are tender. Adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
