Instructions
Step 1: Boil the Eggs
Place eggs in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
Drain and transfer to an ice bath for 10 minutes before peeling.
Step 2: Prepare the Filling
Slice peeled eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a mixing bowl.
Mash the yolks with a fork, then mix in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Mix until creamy and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Step 3: Cook the Shrimp
In a small bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and lemon juice.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Step 4: Assemble the Deviled Eggs
Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg whites. Top each egg with one shrimp.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with chopped parsley or green onions and a dash of paprika or Cajun seasoning. Serve with lemon wedges for a fresh squeeze of flavor.
Notes
Use Cold Eggs – Chill eggs fully before peeling for easier shell removal.
Dry Shrimp Before Cooking – Helps the seasoning stick and sears better.
Don’t Overcook the Shrimp – Just a couple of minutes per side keeps them juicy.
Adjust Spice – Add more hot sauce or Cajun seasoning if you like it extra spicy.
Make It Pretty – Use a piping bag with a star tip for elegant filling presentation.
