- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 2 cups water
- ½ cup jalapeño (finely diced)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ¾ cup milk
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- 1 ½ tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dry mustard powder

- Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until clear. In a medium pot, combine rinsed rice and 2 cups of water. Boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low and simmer covered for 15-18 minutes. Let sit for an additional 5 minutes off heat.
