  • ½ cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup pecans, finely ground
  • 4½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter, powdered sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Mix in salt, almond extract, vanilla extract, and cherry extract until well combined.
  3. Prepare the cherries by draining and chopping them; pat dry to remove excess moisture.
  4. Stir in finely ground pecans until evenly distributed.
  5. Gradually add flour, mixing until a consistent dough forms.
  6. Gently fold in mini chocolate chips.
  7. Chill the dough for 30 minutes to an hour.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop dough into balls (about 1½ tablespoons each) and place on baking sheets.
  10. Bake for 15-17 minutes until lightly golden around the edges.
  11. Cool on racks before rolling in additional powdered sugar.
