- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- 1¼ cups red and green M&Ms (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixer, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in one cup of red and green M&Ms along with chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop, place dough portions on the prepared cookie sheet about one inch apart. Press remaining M&Ms on top of each dough ball.
- Bake for about 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on a rack for five minutes before serving.
