Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 1 ½ lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water (if needed to thin the sauce)

For Garnish:

  • Extra Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley
  • Crushed black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Steak

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil until hot.
  2. Season steak strips with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Add steak to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce, and cook for 1 more minute.
  5. Remove steak from the pan and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, whisking constantly.
  4. Stir in Parmesan, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Combine Everything

  1. Add cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat.
  2. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time.
  3. Return steak to the pan and toss with the pasta.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Garnish with extra Parmesan, fresh parsley, and crushed black pepper.
  2. Serve hot with garlic bread or a side salad.

Notes

Use High-Quality Steak – Ribeye or sirloin gives the best texture and flavor.
Don’t Burn the Garlic – Cook on low heat for a fragrant, mild flavor.
For a Lighter Sauce – Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
For Extra Spice – Add a pinch of cayenne or a splash of hot sauce.
