- 1 pound macaroni pasta
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon mustard powder
- 1 tablespoon Signature Sweet & Smoky Rub
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded Gouda cheese
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ½ pound thick-cut turkey turkey bacon (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni until al dente as per package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
- Warm the milk and cream in a saucepan over low heat.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat, add flour, and whisk for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Gradually whisk in the warmed milk and cream mixture until thickened; remove from heat.
- Stir in all but one cup of shredded cheeses until melted and smooth; season with salt.
- Bake the turkey turkey bacon on a foil-lined baking sheet at 400°F for about 20 minutes until crispy, then chop into pieces.
