Ingredients

Scale

For the Whipped Coffee:

  • 2 tbsp instant coffee (not ground coffee)

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 2 tbsp hot water

For Serving:

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based like almond, oat, or soy)

  • Ice cubes (for iced version)

  • Cocoa powder, cinnamon, or chocolate shavings (optional for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Whipped Coffee
In a medium mixing bowl, combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water. Use a hand mixer, milk frother, or whisk to beat the mixture for 2–5 minutes until it becomes thick, pale, and fluffy with stiff peaks.

Step 2: Prepare Your Milk Base
Add ice cubes to a serving glass for a chilled drink or warm the milk in a mug for a cozy version. Pour in the milk, leaving some space at the top for the coffee foam.

Step 3: Top with the Whipped Coffee
Spoon the fluffy whipped coffee on top of the milk. Smooth it out with a spatula or leave it textured for that classic look.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with a little cocoa powder, cinnamon, or chocolate shavings if desired. Serve with a spoon or straw and stir before sipping for the perfect blend of bold coffee and creamy milk.

Notes

Use Instant Coffee – Only instant works for the fluffy texture—regular ground coffee won’t whip.
Whip Until Fluffy – Beat until it forms thick peaks; it should hold its shape.
Adjust Sweetness – Use less sugar for a bolder flavor, or add a little vanilla for sweetness.
Try Flavored Versions – Add cocoa powder, caramel syrup, or a dash of cinnamon to the whip.
Use Cold or Hot Milk – Works beautifully both ways depending on your mood or the weather.
