- 1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup pastel M&M’s or candy-coated chocolate eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt (optional, enhances flavor)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Batter
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and ¾ cup of the pastel M&M’s (saving the rest for topping).
Step 2: Bake the Cookie Bars
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup M&M’s on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
Step 3: Cool and Serve
- Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
- Don’t Overbake: The bars will continue to set as they cool.
