Ingredients

Scale

(Serves 6-8)

  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional, for extra warmth)

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Make the Batter

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Stir in milk and vanilla extract until smooth.

3. Assemble the Cobbler

  • Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter. Do not stir—this creates the upside-down effect!
  • Spoon the cherry pie filling over the batter. Again, do not mix; it will bake beautifully!

4. Bake to Perfection

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use different fruit fillings – Try blueberry, peach, or apple for variety.
For a crispier top, sprinkle a little coarse sugar before baking.
Want more flavor? Add almond extract to the batter for a nutty twist.
