Notes

Use Day-Old Bread – Slightly stale bread soaks up the custard without getting soggy.
Don’t Rush the Soak – Let each slice absorb the custard for that perfect texture.
Cook on Medium Heat – Prevents burning while allowing the inside to cook through.
Use a Griddle – Ideal for cooking multiple slices at once.
Warm the Syrup – It melts beautifully over the toast and enhances the flavor.
