  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil fettuccini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cut chicken breast in half lengthwise and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  4. Remove chicken from the skillet; melt remaining butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir well.
  5. Pour in heavy cream while stirring constantly, then add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese until thickened to your liking.
  6. Combine fettuccini with the sauce and sliced chicken in the skillet until well mixed.
  7. Serve hot with extra Parmesan cheese and dried parsley as desired.
