Ingredients

Scale

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
⅓ cup fresh Key lime juice (or regular lime juice)
1 tsp Key lime zest (or regular lime zest)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
Optional: green food coloring (just 12 drops for a hint of color)

For Garnish:
Graham cracker crumbs
Extra lime zest
Thin lime slices or wedges

For Serving:
Graham crackers
Vanilla wafers
Strawberries
Pineapple chunks
Pretzels

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Base
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
Add sweetened condensed milk and beat until creamy and fully blended.
Mix in the sour cream, lime juice, lime zest, and vanilla extract.
Optional: Add 1–2 drops of green food coloring for a Key lime pie-inspired hue.

Step 2: Fold in Whipped Topping
Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated and the dip is light and fluffy.
Be careful not to overmix—this keeps the texture airy and creamy.

Step 3: Chill the Dip
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving to help the flavors meld and the dip thicken slightly.

Step 4: Garnish & Serve
Just before serving, sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs, extra lime zest, and lime slices for a festive finish.
Serve chilled with your favorite dippers and enjoy!

Notes

Use Fresh Lime Juice – Freshly squeezed juice gives the dip its signature bright flavor.
Zest First, Then Juice – It’s much easier to zest a lime before squeezing it.
Don’t Skip the Chill – Chilling helps the dip set and intensifies the flavor.
Fold, Don’t Stir – Folding in the whipped topping keeps it from deflating.
Make It Ahead – Prepare up to 24 hours in advance and store covered in the fridge.
