Ingredients
For the Bread:
-
6 soft dinner rolls (brioche-style preferred, unsliced)
-
2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
For the Cream Cheese Filling:
-
8 oz (1 package) cream cheese, softened
-
2 tbsp powdered sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
Optional: pinch of salt
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
-
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
-
4 garlic cloves, finely minced
-
1 tbsp honey or sugar
-
2 tbsp milk
-
1 tbsp mayonnaise
-
1 egg
-
1 tbsp chopped parsley (fresh or dried)
-
Pinch of salt and black pepper
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Filling
3. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
4. Transfer to a piping bag or use a spoon for filling.
Step 3: Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce
5. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, honey, milk, mayo, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.
6. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
Step 4: Cut and Fill the Bread
7. Using a serrated knife, slice each roll into 6–8 wedges (like a flower), being careful not to cut all the way through the bottom.
8. Pipe or spoon cream cheese filling into each wedge, pressing gently.
Step 5: Dip and Brush the Rolls
9. Dip the entire roll briefly into the garlic butter mixture or spoon it generously over the bread to soak it well.
10. Place on the prepared baking tray.
11. Brush the tops with extra melted butter for shine.
Step 6: Bake to Golden Perfection
12. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the bread is golden, the garlic butter is bubbling, and the cream cheese is slightly toasted.
13. Cool for 5 minutes before serving—warm is best!
Notes
Use Soft Rolls – Brioche or milk bread works beautifully.
Don’t Overstuff – A generous amount is great, but too much will overflow.
Adjust Sweetness – Add more or less sugar in the filling to taste.
Use Fresh Garlic – It brings that authentic Korean bakery flavor.
Make It Mini – Use small rolls for individual portions.
