- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 16 ounces mozzarella cheese, divided
- 6 ounces parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground chicken sausage
- 1 can (29 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (29 ounces) crushed tomatoes in puree

Instructions
- Combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella and parmesan, egg, salt, pepper, parsley, and basil in a bowl.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat; sauté garlic, carrots, onion, and celery until soft.
- Add ground beef and chicken sausage; cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, and seasonings; simmer for 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture in a baking dish; repeat.
- Top with remaining mozzarella cheese; cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden.
