Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef chuck roast or brisket, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 oz uncooked spaghetti
  • 10 cups water
  • Seasonings: salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, garlic powder
  • Toppings: hard-boiled eggs, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef pieces with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika in a large mixing bowl for at least 20 minutes.
  2. In a stockpot over high heat, heat vegetable oil and sear the marinated beef until browned (3-5 minutes per side). Remove beef and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-high. In the same pot, sauté onions, celery, bell pepper, and garlic until tender (3-5 minutes).
  4. Return beef to the pot and stir in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, garlic powder, water, and beef bouillon paste. Simmer covered for about 60 minutes.
  5. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions in a separate pot; drain well.
  6. Serve by dividing cooked spaghetti among bowls; ladle broth over noodles and top with halved hard-boiled eggs and green onions.
