Ingredients

For the Peach Filling:
2 cups peeled and chopped peaches (fresh or canned, drained)
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt

For the Cruffins:
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Granulated sugar, for sprinkling
Cinnamon sugar, optional (for extra flavor and crunch)

For the Glaze (Optional):
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk (adjust for desired consistency)
½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peach Filling

  1. In a small saucepan, combine chopped peaches, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, for 5–7 minutes until the mixture thickens and becomes jam-like.

  3. Remove from heat and let it cool completely before using.

Step 2: Prepare the Dough
4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the crescent roll or puff pastry into a rectangle, sealing any perforations if using crescent dough.
5. Brush the dough with melted butter.
6. Spread the cooled peach filling evenly over the dough.

Step 3: Roll and Slice the Dough
7. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log.
8. Slice the log lengthwise to expose the layers, then cut each half into 2–3 sections.
9. With the cut side facing out, roll each section into a spiral and place into a greased muffin tin cavity.

Step 4: Bake the Cruffins
10. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
11. Bake the cruffins for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
12. Let them cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Step 5: Add the Glaze (Optional)
13. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
14. Drizzle over the warm cruffins for extra sweetness.

Step 6: Serve & Enjoy
15. Serve warm or at room temperature, dusted with cinnamon sugar if desired.

Notes

Use Cold Dough – Cold dough is easier to handle and results in flakier layers.
Don’t Overfill – Too much filling can cause leaks during baking.
Cool the Filling – Warm filling can make the dough soggy and hard to roll.
Slice Carefully – Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter for clean cuts.
Rotate in Muffin Tin – Place the spiral cut side up for a beautiful layered look.
