Instructions
- Cook the ground turkey sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, grits, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, buttermilk, and honey until just combined.
- Gently fold the cooked turkey sausage and shredded cheddar cheese into the batter.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
- Bake for about 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
