Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey or chicken sausage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 5–6 green bell peppers, chopped
- 6–7 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- (2) 14.5 oz cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- (2) 10.5 oz packages frozen riced cauliflower (cooked and drained)
- Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, white sugar, Cajun seasoning (optional), salt, and pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground turkey sausage and ground beef with diced onions, bell peppers, and garlic until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook for three minutes until well combined. Add garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, white sugar, salt, pepper, and optional Cajun seasoning.
- Mix in crushed tomatoes, fire-roasted diced tomatoes, bouillon (or water), and cooked riced cauliflower. Stir well.
- Bring to a gentle simmer on low heat with the pot partially covered for about 45 minutes to an hour to meld flavors.
