Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour (2 cups) – The base for fluffy muffins.
  • Granulated Sugar (¾ cup) – Adds the perfect amount of sweetness.
  • Baking Powder (2 tsp) – Helps the muffins rise.
  • Baking Soda (½ tsp) – Ensures extra fluffiness.
  • Salt (¼ tsp) – Enhances flavor.
  • Eggs (2 large) – Adds structure and richness.
  • Milk (¾ cup) – Keeps the muffins soft and moist.
  • Unsalted Butter (½ cup, melted) – Adds flavor and tenderness.
  • Vanilla Extract (1 tsp) – Brings a warm, sweet aroma.
  • Optional Mix-ins (1 cup) – Chocolate chips, blueberries, nuts, or cinnamon.

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prep

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease with non-stick spray.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix—lumps are okay! If using mix-ins, fold them in now.

Step 5: Fill the Muffin Tin

Scoop the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.

Step 6: Bake to Perfection

Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Step 7: Enjoy!

Serve warm with butter, honey, or your favorite spread!

Notes

  • Don’t Overmix – Stir until just combined for a light texture.
  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients – Helps everything blend smoothly.
  • Fill Muffin Cups Evenly – This ensures even baking.
