Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail-on or off)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Honey Sriracha Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice (plus extra wedges for serving)

  • ½ tsp grated ginger (optional for extra depth)

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Chopped green onions

  • Sesame seeds

  • Cilantro

  • Lime wedges

Suggested for Serving:

  • Steamed jasmine or brown rice

  • Noodles or lettuce cups

  • Stir-fried veggies or Asian slaw

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, and grated ginger.
Taste and adjust heat or sweetness to your preference. Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Shrimp
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
Add shrimp in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Simmer the Sauce
Reduce heat to medium.
Add the sauce mixture to the same skillet.
Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and bubbly.

Step 4: Combine & Glaze
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet.
Toss to coat evenly in the honey sriracha glaze.
Cook for another minute, just to reheat the shrimp and fully coat them.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or cilantro.
Serve immediately with your choice of rice, noodles, or veggie sides.
Add lime wedges on the side for extra zing.

Notes

Use Large Shrimp – They’re less likely to overcook and stay juicy.

Don’t Overcook – Shrimp cook fast! Once they turn pink and curl, they’re done.

Customize Heat – Adjust the sriracha level to suit your spice tolerance.

Add Crunch – Top with crushed peanuts or crispy garlic for texture.

Double the Sauce – If serving over rice or noodles, consider making extra glaze.
