  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 1/3 cup diced onion
  • ½ can (8 oz) of diced tomatoes with green chilies (Rotel)
  • 1 sheet of thawed puff pastry
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a nonstick baking sheet.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef with minced garlic and diced onions until browned. Drain fat.
  3. Stir in chili powder, salt, pepper, cumin, onion powder, oregano, paprika, and water; simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a flat surface into an 18-inch rectangle.
  5. Spread the cooled beef mixture evenly over the pastry and sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Roll up tightly from one edge and seal all edges.
  7. Slice into one-inch pieces using a serrated knife.
  8. Arrange on the baking sheet with space between each piece and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
