- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cups water

- In a large dutch oven, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Add the diced onion to the pot and sauté for about 2 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the taco seasoning, then add chopped cabbage, sliced carrot, beef broth, stewed tomatoes, black pepper, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low; partially cover the pot and let simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed for desired consistency.
