  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 small green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can beef broth
  • 2 (14.5-ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a large dutch oven, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the diced onion to the pot and sauté for about 2 minutes until translucent.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning, then add chopped cabbage, sliced carrot, beef broth, stewed tomatoes, black pepper, and water. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low; partially cover the pot and let simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed for desired consistency.
